cheap/simple powerline communications?

Postby jongscx » August 30th, 2014, 6:04 am

I'm looking for a relatively cheap/simple solution to broadcast and receive mesages over a home AC line. (110VAC 60Hz). I'm thinking really slow, serial communication between (initially) 2 microcontrollers.

I'm looking for either a way to do this with an arduino or if there is a SoC solution already out there.

Ideal price-point would be under $20 per node...

Any suggestions?

google 'x10 protocol' and 'x10 interface'

If you're not allergic :-) to using PIC micros, take a look at this:
