What to do with 11x 2V, 4.5AH Batteries?

Postby stretch » January 30th, 2014, 1:40 am

Today I acquired 11 of these, second hand: http://uk.farnell.com/enersys/0860-0004 ... /dp/174828

They're currently soldered and heat-shrunk together in a "11S" bank, but I'm thinking of using them individually or in pairs to power some ultra low power remote sensor network.

Feel free to offer suggestions, links, etc.

I love these Cyclons -- I rip them out of old DustBusters whenever I find them at the thrift store. I once found a string of them in an old HP battery pack, too.
I used to use a handful of them to power my low-power (QRP) 10 meter propagation beacon at night (they got charged with solar during the day). I suspect they'd run my RasPi just as well.
