ncp scanner

hi i see no one answered my other post (lol0 maybe this one isnt as dumb maybe it is. anyway my wife just received one of those free ncp scanner products that scan all the bar codes with it (uh crazy women). was wondering if anyone new what peace of hardware this is is it RFID and can it be used to scan credit cards i know i have to do some of the research but if its possible with this i will try to do the rest any response well appreciated thank you
