What is an MCQE128C

Postby Aries » February 25th, 2017, 1:05 am

Can anyone help me identify what this chip is?

Its clearly labelled but I cannot find any reference online as to what it actually is much less a data sheet by searching this part number. Is it possibly a custom part number or maybe some sort of short-form part number that doesn't appear in literature?

Any help appreciated...

My guess would be a custom-flashed 48-pin version of the QE128 processor.
G$$gle "CE128" & look at the 1st few hits.

The other numbers on the chip probably relate to the packaging version, production date & flashed firmware version...

You can use a multimeter ("beep" meter) to check the pin connections for +Vcc, GND, IO etc. on
the PCB against the datasheet to confirm/refute this guess.

I dunno if you can re-flash this chip but the board will be useless for any other purpose if you can't re-flash the cpu.
