Help finding potentiometer

Postby andrewcfitz » February 9th, 2017, 7:52 am

I have a whole house intercom, in which I believe the pots at each intercom are failing. Any time they are moved the sound cuts in or out. I am trying to find replacements, but I haven't found anything so far. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Please measure the size of the threaded shaft of the pot, and please post a pix showing the shaft that the knob goes on.

It has a 3/8" hole.

Try looking here:

http://www.digikey.com/products/en/pote ... ageSize=25

There may be a slight problem: I suspect the pot you are replacing is audio [non-linear taper], and these are all linear taper pots.

Sorry, the pots according to your photo are 500 ohms, not 500K [thousand] ohms.

I'd try these:

You might need to use a washer or such to help fit it in the old mounting hole.
