How do I know if spy software is installed on my computer

Postby kimsanders » March 30th, 2016, 1:25 am

I am not sure whether there are spyware programs that are going to detect my email or chat logs etc...... on my computer? I have heard that some spy software programs even claim that once it is installed, it is totally undetectable? Is it true?

I think the best way to remove a keylogger is to restore your computer to the factory settings. lol......
Just found this (detect a keylogger). Hope it can help.

Just update your Antivirus program to latest version and do a Complete system scan. Most issues are fixed by this action.
If you need to climb up some more steps, check that background process and analyze it using Process explorer (an official Microsoft product. Find it here: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sys ... lorer.aspx )
As a one click fix is available for home PC, download Combofix from Beeping computers and then restart your computer in safe mode.
Run the program, it will automatically fix most issues(Combofix is one of the most downloaded one click fixing app for most of the virus, adware related issues and is safe and verified by many experts, Even AT&T ConnecTech technicians are using this product). You can download it here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/combofix/
The only problem that I found with Combofix is that it won't work with 8.1 or higher versions of windows.
My personal advice is that along with an antivirus use a good firewall(I recommend Comodo free firewall configured with custom reset).
If you need to know much more tips do search on Google on this matter. This one is a good article regarding protection from Spyware, malware and ransomware http://nci.ca/what-can-you-do-to-protec ... ansomware/.

Ping me if you are still facing any kind of problems.
