Early Webpages

Postby Jarred-Awesome » December 10th, 2014, 4:45 pm

Hey Guys,

I rememer reading a story about Apple developing a service that was simular to intranet... but a REALLY EARLY one. By the discription of it; it was quite advanced, offering hyperlincs, and even images.

Anyway, the developer didn't see the potential and dropped the project.

I am trying to find what they called this project.

any one hear of this before?

I think this may be what you were thinking of...
Quite nice, but very simplistic - even at the time. A decent precursor to true URL/UNC hyper-linking.

I remember using HyperCard to make silly stories in slideshow form when I was much, much younger. It was fun but I think I was too young to really do anything more than have previous/next slide buttons and static images, possibly with narration thanks to the old Mac OS speech synthesis but I could totally be making that up.
