YouTube "mini2440 qt"

There are a ton of videos with demos. This seems like a well traveled path already.

Well here is the company that makes the mini 2440 computers, and I just found my new best friend... a faster 667MHz ARM11 7" touchscreen provided "with provided full featured BSPs for Android, WinCE6.0, Ubuntu, and Linux. The BSPs provide device drivers for all the low-level interfaces."

I'm not seeing any videos for this board... so it must be relatively new.

@FightCube, your google-foo is amazing! (Nice finds.) And these prices are reasonable. Geez, I'm going to have to re-think how to take advantage of these new(er?) COTS parts.

-thanks

Hahaha... I WISH google worked that well ;-) All these links come from days of looking at this topic, going from one reference to another.

Now if I could google order up some Qt and Linux skills like my name is Neo. "Guns, lot's of guns."

The help in the Qt SDK is almost endless. Just park the mouse over a key word in your code and press F1. It's that easy.

Also, the SDK editor is C++ aware. I think the SDK is based on a strong/existing generic SDK. Can anyone clue me in on the actual name? Anyhow, if you stick in the native mode of the editor, it will start offering up what it thinks you are typing. This is especially good when you can't remember your own method or class names you created the day before (or in my case 5 minutes ago).

Also, there are tons of youtube videos of people helping people with Qt. However, I think the best and most complete set (last I counted, over 100 videos) are from a guy named Brian. I think this is his video number 1:

Thanks St2000! I found that guy yesterday actually. I can't believe he's documented that many videos for free!! amazing job. I grabbed the books that he mentions. Also found some more great links:

Here's a smart home automation demo done by a partner of Qt, complete with video and source code at the bottom of the article:
http://blog.qt.nokia.com/2011/05/16/qt- ... urce-code/

Apparently it uses Qt Quick, which is specifically intended for UI's.

Here's a nice Home Automation app written in QML for Qt:

(very snappy!)

Here's a company that aims to help create the graphics part of the GUI... I know Qt can do a lot by itself.. but it doesn't look this good:

@FightCube, are you paying attention? My single unit order isn't suppose to be here from months! 3 weeks? Where did you order one from Simbo?

Edit: added later...

My one from Farnell is being shipped soon but Friday I received an opportunity to order the one from RS.

...Guess I should do more research before I post.
